THE FIELD OF MARS

Heroes killed in the February and October revolutions and the Civil War are buried here.
In 1919, a memorial to the heroic revolutionaries was erected by L. Rudnev.
On the butt-ends of its granite walls are carved epitaphs composed by A. Lunacharsky, People's Commissar for Education.
