MONUMENT TO PETER I (THE "BRONZE HORSEMAN")

The equestrian monument of Peter the Great towers up in the center of small decorative garden on Decembrists' Square, known as the "Bronze Horseman" after Pushkin's poem of the same name, was erected in 1782 by the sculptor E.-M. Falconet.
